About the Design Awards
The juries, their rationale and their preferences vary from year to year. Their comments for the Award Winners may hint at that year's criteria. Juries have absolute discretion to determine the Awards they bestow.
Until the 2006 Design Awards, the only criteria given to juries was the title "Excellence in Design."
All juries are invited to serve by the aiaVT board of directors. Usually, a chapter of the AIA from another state is asked to provide a jury for our awards.
