A major responsibility of facility managers is to ensure that their buildings are as watertight, energy‐efficient, and safe as possible. This means investigating and evaluating the building enclosure (roof, walls, windows, waterproofing, and structure) to define and resolve existing problems and eliminate future problems to extend the service life of the building. Whether an owner is investigating a leakage problem themselves or they have hired a consultant, this presentation will reveal how a thorough evaluation can save expenses during construction and for the service life of the building.
