Join our Efficiency Vermont experts Melissa Stewart and Li Ling Young for this online training. This webinar features a session presented at the 2023 Better Building by Design conference.
As one of the significant determinants of heat pump operating efficiency, the match between zone load and heat pump capacity has been regrettably opaque. Join this session to learn how to match heat pump performance characteristics with load and climate considerations. We’ll explore the dual mandates of high-performance heat pump design: part load performance and design load capacity, and showcase a new tool to help with heat pump selection and sales.
Learning Objectives
1. Explain the significance of part load performance versus capacity at design conditions
2. Evaluate heat pump performance tables
3. Identify key performance requirements of different heat pump applications
4. Use the NEEP Advanced Data to support equipment selection
This training is approved for 1.5 AIA credits.
