Location: Online webinar

Are you considering building with mass timber? Please join the Vermont Green Building Network and Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund on March 12th to learn about how and where Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) is produced and how you can source CLT from Eastern Hemlock and other locally-grown wood. This event will include an overview of where mass timber construction is at today and the importance of using local species in mass timber construction (including current limitations). Speakers will also discuss CLT panels made of Eastern Hemlock or SPFs that are sourced from our region and processed by Sterling Structural. We will conclude with a Q+A.

The event will feature the following speakers and panelists:

- Christine McGowan, Forest Products Program Director for the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund
- Ricky McLain, Mass Timber Consultant and Structural Engineer for Mass Timber Advisers
- Megan Nedzinski, Partner and Architect for Vermont Integrated Architecture
- Marc Rivard, Mass Timber Specialist for Sterling Structural
- Andrew Fast, UNH Cooperative Extension
