This event will take place at the new Discovery and Innovation Hall, the University of Vermont’s newly built STEM Complex, led by representatives from Freeman French Freeman and Ellenzweig Architects, UVM, and PC Construction.
An opening presentation will be focused on the project’s design process, followed by an architect led
tour, and a closing presentation to discuss the construction process and building operation. The STEM building is a multipurpose laboratory and classroom building that has demanding requirements for makeup air and code-required ventilation. Laboratories include fume hoods that require a substantial amount of energy and expense to operate year- round. Attendees will hear from the project’s architects and individuals involved in the building process how they approached the unique needs of this institutional complex.
We'll wrap things up with a social hour, where guests can enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar while networking with AIAVT members and friends.
This event is free to attend and open to the public. A ticket fee will be charged for individuals who wish to earn AIA credits for attending.
