This virtual training will share the same content that was offered in the May 2023 in-person training, and will focus on the 2020 adopted CBES. Once the current draft CBES revisions are adopted additional trainings will be scheduled to cover changes.

Basic building science knowledge and building design will be beneficial for the attendee but, should not discourage anyone with interest from participating.

Commercial Building Energy Standards (CBES) have been adopted in Vermont with recurring updates over the past 20 years. These codes address essential building science systems that address health of occupants by mitigating pests through air sealing and building/wall assemblies, safety through balanced ventilation of mechanical systems, and wellness through insulation.

This course has been approved for 1.5 AIA LU/HSWs.
