The agenda for the public stakeholder meetings is the following:
1. Summary of public comments on the issues and an explanation of what was decided
2. Review of proposed code redline

As a reminder, we are writing to you on behalf of the Vermont Department of Public Service (PSD) as Vermont begins the next update to our building energy codes (Residential Building Energy Standards, or RBES, and Commercial Building Energy Standards, or CBES) with the target effective date of fall or winter of 2023. The code update process will include multiple opportunities to provide input and feedback.

The Vermont Building Energy Code Public Stakeholder Meetings are part of that process. The public stakeholder meetings will serve to gather input and feedback from a range of stakeholders in the process of updating the codes.

There will be two RBES public stakeholder meetings and two CBES public stakeholder meetings. The first set of meetings presented the proposed changes and gathered input from the public for the development of the draft 2023 RBES and CBES. The second set of meetings will present the final draft of the proposed 2023 RBES and CBES codes and solicit feedback. These meetings will be held remotely.
