Architecture-- for the Birds!

This Fall, AIAVT partnered with ECHO and Generator for a new exhibition that would showcase a different type of architecture. The Nesting Box Project began with a Request for Submissions (RFS), which went out in June. The request sought artists, architects, makers, and tinkerers to create original artworks, or “Nesting Boxes”, that would model creative, species-specific habitats for local birds.

AIAVT Announces Winners of Scholarship Awards

At the AIAVT Annual Meeting and Design Awards event, the recipients of this year’s scholarship awards were announced. The AIAVT Scholarship awards are made possible through the Hanne N. Williams Scholars Fund, which derives support from the AIAVT Annual Guy Teschmacher Memorial Golf Tournament, the AIA National Component Matching Grant Program, and other sources.

AIAVT Announces the Carol Miklos Community Outreach Grant

AIA Vermont is pleased to announce a new grant initiative, named in honor of Carol Miklos, who served as AIA Vermont’s Executive Director from 2008 until 2018. This award is intended to create a funding source to support initiatives which have the potential to foster engagement with architecture and design in Vermont's communities.

Third Annual Design Charrette Competition of AIA Vermont’s Emerging Professionals Network
