AIAVT’s annual memorial golf tournament is one of the largest fundraising events of our year. We come together to commemorate the late Guy Teschmacher and share in his enthusiasm for design, his passion for bringing architecture to young minds, and his love for the game. This year’s tournament was held at Williston Country Club and the accompanying Disc Golf Tournament at CVU in Hinesburg. With the summer’s extreme precipitation, we anxiously watched the weather forecast in the days leading up to the event. Fortunately, we received our much needed break in the clouds on August 24th to make way for another successful golf tournament.

It was a packed roster for Ball Golf and we had an impressive 24 players for Disc Golf. Ball Golf had their shotgun start at noon with Disc Golf starting at 1pm. Incredibly, the sun was out and shining for all 18 holes. Williston Country Club did an impeccable job at preparing the course for our golfers while CVU disc golf course got just enough time to dry out for the players. Once all the teams took their final putts, everyone reconvened at the Williston Clubhouse to enjoy a dinner buffet, exchange a few stories and highlights of the day, and to share a toast to Guy Teschmacher for another great tournament in the books. We are incredibly thrilled and proud to announce that we broke our previous fundraising records for the Hanne N. Williams Scholar Recognition Fund! Thank you to everyone for your continued participation and support throughout the years.
