Bob Neeld, P.E. Named Recognized Professional As a Preservation Structural Engineer
At the Fall 2023 APT International Conference, Bob Neeld, PE, a founding partner of AIAVT Allied Members Engineering Ventures, was named a Recognized Professional as a Preservation Structural Engineer.
The designation recognizes the expert skill level of individuals in the various fields of preservation technology with a formal recognition of achievement. An APT Recognized Professional is a person who has specialized knowledge, supported by a combination of formal training and/or work experience, in the use of preservation technology in conservation and stewardship of cultural heritage. An APT Recognized Professional conforms to accepted international technical and APT ethical standards and works in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of the person’s specialty preservation field and the appropriate jurisdictions of their practice. Bob is one of less than 20 Engineers (of all kinds) that have been Recognized.
The Association for Preservation Technology is the premier cross-disciplinary organization dedicated to promoting the best technology for conserving historic structures and their settings. Founded in 1968 as a joint venture among Canadian and United States preservationists, APT now has members in more than 30 countries.
After 17 years at the helm of Engineering Ventures, Bob has recently handed the reins to Kevin Worden. With no intention on retiring soon, Bob now has more time to spend helping save the historic treasures of Vermont.
