AIAVT is pleased to welcome the following new members to our chapter:

Matthew Bernhardt, Associate AIA

Matt joined gbA Architecture + Planning in November 2021 as a designer. Before relocating to Vermont, Matt resided in Hilton Head, SC where he spent 7 years as a designer in residential,government, military, and commercial projects. Prior to his career in architectural design Matt attended New England School of Photography, graduated, and then worked as a photojournalist for 25 years for publications such as New York Times, AP, Albuquerque Journal, and the Sarasota Herald -Tribune. While he was attending school to become a designer and transitioning professions from photojournalist to designer, he earned his US Coast Guard Master Captain’s License and lead eco-tours in coastal Hilton Head area. Matt looks forward to exploring the resources and educational opportunities AIA offers toward growing his career in
the field of architecture.

Adam Davis, AIA

Adam Davis recently joined AIAVT after becoming a registered Architect in Vermont, Massachusetts and New York.  After receiving a BS and Masters in Architecture from Northeastern University, Adam returned home to Vermont where he has focused predominantly on residential design with J. Graham Goldsmith Architects.  He has been with the firm for the past ten years and recently became partner.  Going forward, Adam hopes to continue to provide thoughtful design for custom homes with an emphasis on sustainability and embracing the natural surroundings.
