Architectural Intern/ Designer
Seeking employment as an architectural intern or entry-level designer under a licensed Architect.
I have an unquenchable passion for architecture. From the first time I put pencil to paper, I was
reimagining the built environment. I have a unique, diverse skill set: spanning from architectural and landscape
design, carpentry, woodworking, and project management, to business operation, marketing and graphic design.
I have the insight, education and hands-on experience to be a strong addition to your firm.
I started a landscaping company in high school, continuing to build the venture for more than a decade to
follow. Not only did this effort strengthen my cognizance for the natural world, it afforded me practical experience
in project management, customer relations, and self-discipline. As the company matured, we entered the world
of landscape design-build: specializing in garden, hardscape, site water management, retaining wall, and deck
design-builds. In 2018, I sold the company to continue my passionate pursuit of architecture.
As a student, I took part in the ASC design-bid competition: a team challenge to fully design a
42,000-square foot recreational facility, prepare all construction documents, and present a final bid within 30
hours. As a result of this competition, I gained an attitude of persistence, and the value of accurate, timely
deliverables. In 2014 I was a team member on the “Archistream" Project: a design-build mobile re-fabrication
that won the AIAVT excellence in architecture award.
I have two years experience in graphic design and marketing, where I facilitated website design, email,
print, and social media marketing for two different companies. Desiring a deeper understanding of construction
methods, I spent one year working with two separate contractors on residential and commercial projects. After
taking some independent design projects since the pandemic, I earned a Masters degree in architecture, from
Norwich University.
