Overview
Volansky Studio is an architectural and interior design firm located in the picturesque town of Stowe, Vermont. We specialize in architectural design for residential, commercial (lmtd), interior, and landscape projects. At Volansky Studio, our approach is collaborative and client-centered, ensuring every space we design reflects the beauty of the landscape and the individuality of our clients.
The Role
As a Designer II or III, you’ll be an essential part of supporting the Volansky Studio Team. Working closely with Project Managers and Associate Architects, you’ll guide projects through their unique development phases, ensuring the highest quality in project documentation. You’ll have the opportunity to lead junior staff, grow your skill set, and take an active role in all phases of project development, from planning to execution. You’ll assist in converting design concepts into detailed plans, managing project timelines, and keeping all project documentation organized and up to date. This is a role for someone ready to take on challenges and evolve within the studio.
Who You Are
You’re an experienced designer who enjoys the dynamics of managing multiple project scopes at once. You have 3-8 years of CAD, SketchUp 3D modeling, and drafting experience, and can work proficiently in Microsoft programs like Excel and Word. Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and other Adobe programs is a bonus. You're organized, detail-oriented, and a skilled communicator. You thrive in a collaborative environment and have a desire to grow into a Project Manager role. Ideally, you live within 45 minutes of our office in Stowe and are excited to contribute to a tight-knit team that values creativity and professionalism.
What Volansky Studio Offers
This is a full-time, year-round position with a pay range of $25-28/hour, depending on experience. We offer comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) contributions with owner match and profit sharing option, paid vacation, holiday, and sick days. While we encourage in-office collaboration, limited flex hours to work from home are available. Most of your time will be spent in our Stowe office, working alongside a dedicated and passionate team.
