Please join the Vermont Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects for the annual Doug Crowell Lecture: Learning from the Cambridge, MA Urban Forestry Master Plan featuring Eric Kramer, FASLA, principal at Reed Hilderbrand, landscape architects in Cambridge, MA.
Learn how Reed Hilderbrand and Cambridge, MA partnered to create a planning framework to grow and sustain a resilient and equitably distributed urban forest for Cambridge in the face of climate change. Created in collaboration with the city's Urban Forest Task Force, the plan comprises research, data modeling, a framework of strategies addressed to the entire community, and a campaign to catalyze the partnerships necessary to realize the future forest. Representatives from Burlington, VT will also be on hand to discuss their efforts to create a similar strategy creating an urban forest and to answer questions.
The event will be on Thursday, February 8th, with reception at 6:00pm and Lecture beginning at 7:00pm, held in the Great Room at Main Street Landing, 60 Lake Street, Burlington.
